    Digital Competitiveness is Expected to Increase the Intention of E-commerce in MSME

    Internet penetration is unavoidable and getting stronger in entering business field. The advancement of information technology encourages various innovations that can be applied in response to the destructive era. According to a survey in 2017, internet users from business sector in Indonesia amounted to approximately 143 million. This number is expected to increase in 2019, which mean 70 percent of Indonesia citizen has accessed the internet. Meanwhile, there are only 2.6 percent of MSMEs that adopt e-commerce. Therefore, a research that focused on the intention to adopt e-commerce in MSME is important. This background was presented by Muhammad Kholid Arif Rozaq in his Doctoral Promotion Exam on Monday, July 1st, 2019 in FEB UNS 4th Building Hall.

    In this occasion, Rozaq was presenting his Dissertation with a title Digital Competitiveness as an Effort to Improve the Intention to Adopt E-commerce in Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Yogyakarta special Region (DIY) is defended in front of 10 (ten) examiners, led by the Vice Rector of Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ahmad Yunus, M.S.

    Kholid in his research develop a new model on the intention to adopt e-commerce that focused on the technological readiness. His research also develops a new basic theoretical model to fill the gap between technological readiness and e-commerce adoption. The research is expected to contribute to the development of technology adoption model with the introduction of a new variable namely Digital Competitiveness). Digital competitiveness is expected to improve the intention to adopt e-commerce in MSMEs.

    The Dean of FEB UNS Encourage PhD Students to Finish Their Study

    The student of Doctor in Economics Program should have a high spirit to finish their study and encouraging their junior to do so, thus improving the general performance of the study program. This encouragement is expressed by the Dean of FEB UNS Prof. Drs. Djoko Suhardjanto, M.Com.(Hons).,Ph.D.,Ak., during the opening remarks in alumni and PhD students meeting on Thursday, June 27th 2019.

    “The faculty will build a workstation for the master and doctoral students to improve their study process and establishing better monitoring process, thus there is no reason for students to prolong their study time,” he explains further.

    At the end of his opening remarks, Prof. Djoko give a message to the audience to have a life that benefit others, and do not be a person who bring an unrest in the community. We should live in this world and strive for salvation, happiness, and prosperity.

    A similar message also given by the Head of Doctoral Program in Economics, Prof.Dr. Rahmawati, M.Si., Ak, who advised to the students to be more focused on their study and intensify their supervision activity to speed up their study.

    Further, Prof. Rahmawati, requesting support and prayer from all of the students and alumni, due to ABEST21 certification submission for the study program later on this year as well as for the national re-accreditation on the 2020. “Various effort has been taken to maintain the quality of education in the study program among other by providing understanding on the vision and mission of the study program, to the academic staff, faculty member, as well as the students,” she explains.

    Moreover, for the internationalization program, exchange program is available both for the lecturer and students. As for the 2020 (next year) there will be 2 (two) exchange students in PhD program.

    In the occasion, aside from the dawah (proselytizing) given by FEB UNS lecturer, Hasim, M.Ag, a souvenirs or momento was awarded to Prof. Dr. Tulus Haryono, M.Ek. as the previous Head of the PhD program of FEB UNS. As the previous Head of the study program, Prof. Tulus has given many contributions since the establishment of the program to 2019 where the program successfully earns an “A” accreditation. Prof. Tulus in his remarks, advise the students to keep focussed in finishing their study as well as having a planned target.

    267 Prospective Students of FEB UNS, Register On-desk

    The on-desk registration for the students who passed the undergraduate program selection (SNMPTN) and Diploma program selection (PMDK) in FEB UNS is conducted on Monday May, 20th 2019 in FEB UNS Hall 3rd Building. In total there are 267 (two hundred and sixty-seven) applicants who attend the on-desk registration that consist of 124 applicants for diploma program and 143 applicants for the undergraduate program. From the total applicants, there are 4 (four) applicant who are Hafidz Qur’an and 43 Bidik misi awardee.

    The applicants are required to hand over documents such as pass photo, tuition fee payment slip, statement of parents’ income, letter form doctor’s examination, and online registration print-out. Other documents such as original High school certificate, Certificate of Graduation, as well as achievement certificate is only shown to the registration officers.

    Nur Hariawan as the Head of Academics Unit FEB UNS in his opening remarks congratulate the participants who has passed the selection process and reach the registration stage. He also explains the stage of registration in FEB UNS that should be followed by the participants. “For those who cannot fulfil the registration requirement (supporting documents) are given the opportunity to complete the required document on the next day. The document should be submitted to the FEB UNS Academic Service Office or can be posted to the Head of Academic Unit of FEB UNS for those who live outside of Solo.”

    The new students’ inauguration ceremony will be held on August 15th, 2019, starts from 7 am, in front of the Dr. Prakosa Building UNS. For the ceremony the students should wear all white attire (white blouse and white skirt or trouser) and wearing UNS alma mater jacket.

    For the Development of Hajj Fund, the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) Establish a Partnership with FEB UNS

    The Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) is an agency established by the President of the Republic of Indonesia to manage the hajj financial affairs covering income, development, expenditure, and accountability.

    “BPKH, which established in 2017, is responsible for the management of hajj funds derived from the pilgrims who has paid for the initial deposit, all the hajj funds is managed and used to provide pilgrimage services,” said Anggito Abimanyu as the Head of BPKH during the Seminar of Hajj Financial Management in FEB UNS on May, 5th 2019.

    “The total of Hajj funds as in December 2018 is 113 trillion Rupiah, and this number is keep increasing. This encourage us to consider future use and development of these funds,” he adds.

    Anggito hopes there will be a partnership between BPKH and FEB UNS to establish a research institution to study the utilization and development of Hajj funds. Research on the development of hajj funds that can be explored for further partnership and collaboration are including direct investment, securities, banking products, exchanges rate, management efficiency, and various other topics.

    Anggito also mentions that to date, the hajj funds that transferred to Saudi Arabia are amounted to 15 trillion Rupiah, thus we need to find a method to promote Indonesian product to enter Saudi’s market. “For instance, the prayer beads, worship clothes, and slippers sold in Saudi are not Indonesia product, this is a great opportunity for Indonesia’s product to penetrate Saudi’s market.”

    UNS is Assessed by AUN-QA for the Second Time

    The assessor team of the ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) appreciate the Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), especially for the assessed study programs on June 24th to 26th 2019. This was mentioned by the Vice Rector of Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ahmad Yunus, MS, after the closing meeting on Wednesday, June 26th, 2019 in Dr. Prakosa Building UNS.

    The 150th AUN-QA Assessment at Program Level is the second assessment at program level by the AUN-QA for the study programs in UNS, after the first assessment conducted in 2018 for 4 (four) study programs namely, the Study Program of Bachelor in Management, Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor in Civil Engineering, and Bachelor in Biology. All the study programs are successfully accredited and certified by the AUN-QA.

    From the assessment result, Prof. Yunus is optimistic that UNS will obtain the certification for the four study programs being assessed this year. “This is the second opportunities for UNS to obtain an acknowledgement from an international accreditation organization at ASEAN level, thus UNS will be on the same level with other advanced study programs in ASEAN,” he explained. Further, he mentions that the assessor team found several areas of improvements for each study program. However, in general the assessment shows a positive result.

    Prof. Yunus congratulate the four study programs assessed on this opportunity, they are the Study Program of Bachelor in Development Economic, Bachelor in Special Education, Bachelor in Law, and Bachelor in Agribusiness, for conducting a series of activities in the 150th AUN-QA Program Assessment. He also expresses his gratitude to the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) for organizing the site visit and coordinating the whole assessment process.

    The assessment process took 3 (three) days to be completed. On the first day, Monday June, 24th 2019, the assessor team is welcomed by the Rector of UNS, Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum, together with the Rectorate Officials, the Deanery of the assessed programs, and the Self-Assessment Report (SAR) Team from 4 (four) study programs, followed with Gambyong dance. This was followed with an Opening meeting. After the Opening Meeting the assessors follow an University site visit to several facilities such as Central Library, International Office, Taiwan Centre, UNS Museum, Medical Centre, Pusbangnis UNS, UNS Hospital, and UNS Medical Centre.

    The next assessment process after the University level site visit is centralized in FEB UNS and is conducted separately for each study program. Each study program is assessed by two assessors. Johnson Ong Chee Bin and Prof. Dr, Aleth Therese L. Dacanay serve as the assessor for the Bachelor in Development Economic; Prof. Dr. Suzeini Binti Abd Halim and Mrs. Siriluck Kiewkong as the assessor for Bachelor in Law; Assoc. Prof. Dr Kamulwan Lueprasert and Prof. Dr. Irfan Naufal Umar as the assessor for the Bachelor in Special Education; and lastly Assoc. Prof. Dr. Amalina M. Afifi and Asst. Prof. Dr. Thasaneeya Ratanaroutai Nopparatjamjomras as the assessor for the Bachelor in Agribusiness. The assessment process is accompanied by the Secretary of AUN-QA, Mr. Korn Ratagosoom.

    The assessors conduct several interviews with the Deanery, SAR Team, Academic staff, Support staff both at Faculty and University level, students, alumni, and user. All the interviews were conducted in consecutive manner. In between the interviews process, the assessors also conduct a Faculty level site visit. In FEB UNS there are some facilities visited by the assessors such as Students Activity Unit Room, Internship and Career Development Center, Computer Laboratory, Banking Simulation Laboratory, Export and Import Laboratory, Investment Gallery Room, and Teacher’s Transit Room.

    The Chief Assessor Johnson Ong Chee Bin expressed that he impressed with how the Assessment in UNS is being organized. “Since the time we arrived at the airport and the time we arrived at the assessment site today we are greeted with a very well organizing activities such as dancing, the assessment process, the document, the organization of the logistics were very well organized and efficient,” he said to the Public Relation team.

    Further he added that the campus is very green, and he finds it lovely that the campus has many trees and flowers. During the university site visit he saw some uniqueness of the campus such as of the inclusion of different religious buildings for example the mosque, the temple, the church.

    Kapabilitas Bersaing Digital Diharapkan Tingkatkan Intensi Adopsi E-commerce UMKM

    Penetrasi internet tidak bisa dihindari dan semakin kuat dalam memasuki dunia bisnis. Kemajuan teknologi informasi mendorong banyaknya inovasi-inovasi baru yang dimanfaatkan manusia sebagai tanggapan terhadap era destruktif.

    Survei di tahun 2017, pengguna internet pada sektor bisnis di Indonesia lebih kurang 143 juta, di tahun 2019 akan lebih banyak lagi. Ini berarti, lebih dari 70% penduduk di Indonesia telah menggunakan internet. Sedangkan pelaku UMKM secara nasional hanya sekitar 2,6% yang menggunakan e-commerce. Penelitian yang mengfokuskan pada upaya intensi adopsi e- commerce sangat diperlukan.

    Hal itu dipaparkan Muhammad Kholid Arif Rozaq, diawal presentasinya pada Ujian Terbuka Promosi Doktor , Senin 1/7/2019 di Aula Gedung IV FEB UNS.

    Disertasi yang berjudul Kapabilitas Bersaing Digital sebagai Upaya Peningkatan Intensi Adopsi E-Commerce pada Usaha Mikro, Kecil dan Menengah Provinsi DIY dipertahankan dihadapan sepuluh penguji, yang diketuai oleh Wakil Rektor Bidang Akademik UNS, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ahmad Yunus, M.S.

    Kholid dalam penelitiannya mengembangkan model baru mengenai intensi adopsi e-commerce yang fokus pada kesiapan teknologi serta membangun model teoritikal dasar yang baru untuk melengkapi celah penelitian antara kesiapan teknologi dan intensi adopsi e-commerce. 

    Penelitian yang dilakukannya diharapkan memberikan kontribusi pada pengembangan model adopsi teknologi dengan adanya proposisi pengembangan variabel baru yaitu Kapabiltas Bersaing Digital (KBD). Kapabilitas bersaing digital ini juga diharapkan mampu meningkatkan tingkat intensi adopsi e-commerce bagi UMKM.

    Mahasiswa Program Doktor Ilmu Ekonomi (PDIE) Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Sebelas Maret (FEB UNS) harus gumregah atau memiliki semangat juang yang tinggi untuk segera lulus dan para  alumninya juga harus selalu mendorong adik- adik kelasnya agar performa PDIE semakin baik.

    Hal itu disampaikan Prof. Drs. Djoko Suhardjanto, M.Com.(Hons).,Ph.D.,Ak., Dekan FEB UNS saat membuka acara Halal Bihalal serta Temu Alumni dan Mahasiswa PDIE, Kamis, 27 Juni 2019.

    “Kami akan segera membangun workstation untuk Program Studi (Prodi) S-2 dan S-3 agar proses studi bisa lebih lancar  dan juga pemantauan lebih mudah, mahasiswa jangan berlama-lama studinya” jelasnya kemudian.

    Di akhir sambutannya, Prof. Djoko berpesan bahwa kita harus punya prinsip hidup urip sing urup, memayu hayuning bawana,  hidup itu hendaknya memberi manfaat bagi orang lain di sekitar kita, jangan sampai kita menjadi orang yang meresahkan masyarakat. Manusia hidup di dunia harus  mengusahakan keselamatan, kebahagiaan dan kesejahteraan.

    Pesan yang sama juga disampaikan  Kaprodi S3 PDIE yang baru saja dilantik pada 29 Mei 2019,  Prof.Dr. Rahmawati, M.Si., Ak, mahasiswa harus lebih fokus dalam studinya dan  mengintensifkan pembimbingan agar cepat selesai.

    Prof. Rahmawati  memohon dukungan dan doa kepada seluruh mahasiswa dan alumni karena tanggal 30 Juni, PDIE akan submit akreditasi internasional Abest21  dan untuk akreditasi nasional akan siap pada tahun 2020, untuk bisa mempertahankan nilai A.

    “Berbagai upaya telah kita tempuh, salah satunya dengan memberikan  pemahaman kepada dosen, mahasiswa, alumni dan juga tenaga kependidikan tentang  visi dan misi PDIE” urainya.

    Lebih lanjut disampaikan, dalam rangka internasionalisasi, akan ada pertukaran mahasiswa dan juga dosen. Di tahun depan ada 2 mahasiswa asing yang studi di PDIE.

    Dalam acara itu, selain tausiyah yang disampaikan oleh Hasim, M.Ag, dosen FEB UNS, juga diadakan pemberian kenang-kenangan dari Mahasiswa kepada Prof. Dr. Tulus Haryono, M.Ek.

    Prof. Tulus, sebagai Kaprodi yang berakhir jabatannya di Mei 2019 telah banyak  memberikan kontribusi bagi PDIE, sejak mulai berdiri,  tahun 2009 hingga tahun 2019 dan juga telah menghantarkan PDIE hingga memperoleh akreditasi A.

    Prof. Tulus  dalam sambutannya berpesan kepada para mahasiswa PDIE untuk fokus dalam menyelesaikan  studi. Mahasiswa harus mempunyai target dalam pencapaian studinya, harus direncanakan, agar punya semangat dalam menempuhnya.

    Untuk Kali Kedua, UNS Divisitasi AUN QA

    Tim Asesor ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance (AUN QA) memberikan apresiasi kepada Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), khususnya kepada empat program studi (prodi) di UNS yang telah divisitasi selama tiga hari, 24-26 Juni 2019.

    Hal itu diungkapkan Wakil Rektor Bidang Akademik UNS, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ahmad Yunus, MS kepada tim humas dan media usai closing meeting, Rabu, 26/6/2019 di Gedung dr. Prakosa UNS.

    Dari hasil visitasi, Prof Yunus sangat optimis, UNS segera akan mendapatkan sertifikasi AUN QA untuk keempat prodi yang divisitasi tahun ini.

    “Ini adalah kali kedua UNS memperoleh pengakuan internasional dari sebuah lembaga akreditasi di tingkat ASEAN sehingga UNS mampu sejajar dengan beberapa prodi di perguruan tinggi lainnya yang maju ditingkat ASEAN” jelas Prof. Yunus

    Lebih lanjut dijelaskan bahwa tim melihat masih ada beberapa kekurangan yang perlu untuk segera diperbaiki. Namun secara keseluruhan hasilnya  baik.

    Prof. Yunus mengucapkan selamat kepada empat program studi yakni S1 Ekonomi Pembangunan, S1 Hukum, S1 Pendidikan Luar Biasa dan S1 Agribisnis, yang telah menjalankan serangkaian aktitivitas dalam rangka Visitasi AUN QA, terlebih kepada Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis (FEB) yang telah mengkoordinir seluruh prosesnya.

    Visitasi AUN di UNS yang telah berlangsung selama tiga hari ini adalah untuk kali kedua setelah sebelumya di tahun 2018, empat prodi di UNS lainnya yakni Prodi S1 Manajemen, S1 Teknik Mesin, S1 Teknik Sipil dan S1 Biologi divisitasi dan telah berhasil memperoleh sertifikat AUN QA.

    Kedatangan Tim Asesor, Senin, 24/6/2019 disambut oleh Rektor UNS, Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum dan seluruh jajaran Rektorat, Dekanat dan Tim Self-Assesment Report (SAR) dari Empat Prodi, diiringi dengan Tarian Gambyong.
    Usai opening meeting di hari pertama, Asesor melakukan kunjungan ke beberapa fasilitas di UNS, diantaranya Perpustakaan, International Office, Taiwan Centre, Museum UNS, Medical Centre, Pusbangnis UNS, RS UNS, perpustakaan dan medical center UNS dengan menggunakan bis kampus.

    Aktifitas visitasi berikutnya tersentral di FEB UNS. Assessment untuk masing-masing prodi dilakukan oleh 2 orang asesor, yakni Mr. Johnson Ong Chee Bin dan Prof. Dr, Aleth Therese L. Dacanay sebagai asesor Prodi S1 Ekonomi Pembangunan ; Prof.Dr.Suzeini Binti Abd Halim dan Mrs. Siriluck Kiewkong sebagai asesor di Prodi S 1 Hukum, Assoc. Prof.Dr Kamulwan Lueprasert dan Prof. Dr. Irfan Naufal Umar sebagai asseor di Prodi S1 Pendidikan Luar Biasa; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Amalina M. Afifi dan Asst. Prof. Dr. Thasaneeya Ratanaroutai Nopparatjamjomras, sebagai asesor Prodi S1 Agribisnis. Tim didampingi oleh Korn Ratagosoom sebagai sekretaris AUN QA.

    Audiensi oleh Tim Asesor secara berturut-turut dilakukan kepada pimpinan fakultas, tim SAR, tenaga pendidik, staf, mahasiswa dan pengguna. Selanjutnya tim melakukan survei ke lapangan.

    Di FEB UNS, ruang yang dikunjungi diantaranya Ruang Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa, Ruang Internship and Career Development Center, Laboratorium Komputer, Laboratorium Simulasi Perbankan, Laboratorium Ekspor Impor, Ruang Pelayanan Kuliah, Ruang Galeri Investasi dan Ruang Transit Dosen.

    Salah satu asesor, Mr. Johnson Ong Chee Bin saat ditemui media, menyatakan sangat terkesan dengan penyelenggaraan assessment di UNS. “Sejak awal dari saat kami tiba di bandara dan di tempat assessment, kami disambut dengan bermacam aktifitas seperti tari penyambutan dan proses assessment, pengaturan dokumen, serta logistik diatur dengan baik dan efisien”, Jelas Johnson.

    Lebih lanjut ia menceritakan bahwa kampus ini sangat hijau dan sangat menyukai kondisi kampus dengan banyak pohon dan bunga.

    Kami juga menemukan sebuah keunikan dari kampus ini yaitu adanya inklusi dari berbagai bangunan keagamaan seperti masjid, pura, wihara dan gereja.
